Award winning Jonagold cider tastes light and refreshing with a fresh apple snap—much like a light white wine.
This one pairs well with Mexican and Thai dishes as well as barbecued pork and chicken. It also compliments seafood—especially oysters, mussels, crab and shrimp. It’s outstanding with fresh salmon lightly smoked on the grill. Try a traditional Normandy dish, mussels steamed in cider. Serve well chilled.
Red Barn Cider’s Jonagold Semi-Dry is made from tree ripened apples, hand picked at peak sugar content. The juice is fermented all winter, and after clearing, is bottled in the spring. Some juice from the harvest is frozen and added back at bottling time to give it a hint of sweetness and a bit of that fresh apple snap.
