In Loving Memory
Blackthorn Gallery & Tattoo owner Jeff Jacobs has recently passed away. He will be sorely missed by friends and family. For those who wish, read about Jeff and post a comment on the obituary blog here.
So what is this GALLERY thing about?
We will be hosting fine artist shows in our ultra clean, enormous 4000 square foot space. Yes, really. We would like to promote local and regional artists by giving them an environment to show their work. Please include us in your plans for the Art Walk here in downtown Salem the first Wednesday of each month. Long warm evenings will be here soon! It will be a spectacular season for tattoos, piercing, custom jewelry, and creating art. Get a custom tattoo to show off at an art opening.
Call to Artists
If you are an artist please bring your portfolio by, mail slides, contact us with your website portfolio link, or contact us for instructions on where to email low resolution jpeg images to us. Please include an Artist Bio, promotion statement and pricing requests. We will require framed, ready–to–hang, ready–to–sell artwork. We are looking for figurative artists and artists who have pagan or ancient religious themes. We are open to suggestions on similar themes. If you share our commitment to original works of art we look forward to seeing your proposed submission.
